focus: product design

i'm getting really excited about my individual focus for our final project.

i chose product design because in all of the product design studios our department offers, i've never been in one!  i'm hoping to build a full scale model for the final presentation.

since i have never done a product before, i have just been looking at some inspiration before beginning some conceptual sketches.  my g

oal is to develop a product keeping in mind the concept of transmetamorph.  an intersecting and changing.  here are some products i found on designspotter tonight.

after our review for assignment 2.2, we were asked to come up with some sketches on an individual basis of where we might take our group design from here.

these are the sketches that i came up with.  my main goal was to explore different ways that we could celebrate the train through our design.

oh, atlanta..

i love atlanta.  i had been there several times before and was really excited about going!

but this was an interesting trip.

if it wasn't for the weather and stress of driving in it, it probably would have been quite lovely.

but, it was still great to visit all the firms and interact with design professionals.

definitely also discouraging with the current economic situation though.

it sure is a bad time to graduate. :(
